Online Colloquium in the frames of the International Online Conference “Silk Road of Knowledge”

The deadline for the Abstracts submissions has been extended to November 20th, 2023 (6PM of Almaty time)

Central Asian Journal of Sustainability and Climate Research (CAJSCR) & DKU CRS invite young professionals to take part in the Colloquium, in the frames of the International Online Conference “Silk Road of Knowledge” on January 17, 2024.

The goal of the Colloquium is to help with the professional development of young scholars by discussing their research in a constructive international atmosphere. The Colloquium will be based on papers submitted by the participants. The young researchers will have feedback from experienced scholars. In addition, they’ll share tips for writing a successful paper.

Applicants should submit:
📎an extended abstract up to 1500-2000 words that outlines the topic, rationale, theoretical approach, and, if applicable, empirical application. It is also advisable to inform whether the submitted piece is part of a compilation dissertation (article-based dissertation) or part of a monograph dissertation (chapter, overview). Every abstract should include the name and affiliation of a young scholar.

Abstracts should be written in English, covering #CentralAsia and/or #Afghanistan with reference to one of the themes: Climate, Energy, Land and Agriculture, Sustainability, Sustainable education, Global commons, Planetary boundaries.

In selecting the participants for the colloquium, the Editors take into consideration the quality of the working paper meeting the following criteria: 

  • innovation and significance to the research community
  • rigorous research questions and methods
  • clear findings, results and outcomes
  •  the contribution to theory

The certificates will be issued to all participants, including the award certificate for best presenters and best paper awards.
